Where it all began

Our History

CGSV was founded in 2002 with the primary goal of ensuring the safety of residents in the designated area.

It has since expanded to include collaboration with various stakeholders involved in resident safety, such as the South African Police Service (SAPS), security companies, and the Tshwane city council.

Enhanced Security and Reduced Crime

By controlling access through manned gates, utilizing LPR cameras linked to security services and the police, and conducting regular patrols, CGSV actively works to deter crime and enhance the overall security of the residential area. This proactive approach contributes to a safer living environment for all residents.

Collaborative Safety Network

CGSV fosters strong partnerships with the South African Police Service (SAPS), private security companies like Fidelity/ADT, and the Tshwane city council. This collaborative network ensures a coordinated and comprehensive approach to safety and security within the community, leveraging the resources and expertise of various stakeholders.

Controlled Access and Monitoring

The implementation of 24/7 and 19-hour manned entrance gates, coupled with a hand movement sensor access system for residents and visitors, provides a robust method for controlling who enters the area. Furthermore, the License Plate Recognition (LPR) cameras at all incoming entrances actively monitor vehicular traffic, adding an extra layer of security and aiding in the identification of suspicious vehicles.

As a registered non-profit organization, CGSV operates transparently and is fully audited annually. This structure ensures accountability to the residents and demonstrates a commitment to using resources effectively for the benefit of the community’s safety and well-being.
