Recycling Together for a Greener Tomorrow
We’re facing a growing challenge with household waste disposal in the City of Tshwane. Landfill space is limited, and we, as the CGSV community, can make a significant positive impact by actively participating in waste recycling.
We’re pleased to remind you of the FREE recycling service available to all residents through Global Waste. Unlike many other recycling companies that charge a fee, Global Waste offers complimentary collection every Wednesday in our area.
Participating is simple! There’s no need to separate your recyclables – just place all items together in a black bag on the pavement in front of your property for the first collection. Global Waste will then leave you a clear bag for subsequent collections.
Your contribution, week after week, can make a real difference in lessening the burden on local landfills and helping to save our precious land.

CGSV Community Market Day
What an incredible day at the CGSV Market Day! There is nothing quite like seeing our streets filled with laughter, neighbors catching up over coffee, and families enjoying the outdoors together. From the mouth-watering aromas at the food stalls to the unique finds from our local makers, the atmosphere was buzzing from start to finish.
It was a joy to see every generation represented, reminding us all why this community is so special. A huge thank you to our hardworking vendors for bringing so much talent to our village, and to every resident who came out to support them. If the kids are still buzzing with energy after all that excitement, don’t forget to look into the local Scouts—it’s the perfect way to keep that spirit of adventure alive!”
Community Spirit Soars at the First CGSV Community Fun Day
Our very first CGSV Community Fun Day was a massive hit, and we had the best time seeing everyone out enjoying the sunshine and each other’s company! It was truly heartwarming to watch our entire community—from the little ones to our cherished seniors—all come together to celebrate and support our amazing neighborhood. The day kicked off with a fun and invigorating Fun Run bright and early, setting a fantastic, energetic mood that lasted all afternoon. Everyone enjoyed the lively atmosphere and, of course, the delicious food!
We have to give a huge, heartfelt thank you to ADT for being such a wonderful sponsor of the fantastic kids’ entertainment! The kids had an absolute blast with all the activities, and their smiles said it all. On that note, if your children are looking for more adventure and fun, be sure to check out the local Scouts—they’re always ready to welcome new friends!
A big shout-out also goes to all the dedicated vendors who spent their time and effort making the event so vibrant and special.
